Question
What in your opinion is the main contributor to the decline of the quail population in the southeast? And is there anything private landowners can do to help them?

Tim,

Habitat loss is clearly the primary cause of declining qual populations in the southeast and throughout the USA.  There are properties that have worked to improve quail habitat throughout the southeast and they have great quail populations!

It’s not a single issue such as fire ants, turkeys, deer, etc.  It’s habitat.

Enjoy creation,
