Grant,
I really enjoy watching your videos on youtube and I am definitely happy that you mention our Creator in every video. It’s so nice to have a Christian perspective out there when this world is going the way it is. My question is, what is the best way to tell a white oak tree from any other oak tree other than by the obvious, by looking at the acorns on the ground? I live in South Carolina and I hunt 99% public land. We have several different species of oak. I would love to be able to scout a new area and be able to set up near these delectable little treats. I have a buddy that can spot them from a mile away but I just can’t tell the difference. Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.
God Bless

Doug,

For a good technical guide to identifying white and red oaks check out:   http://www.fs.fed.us/foresthealth/technology/pdfs/fieldguide.pdf

If you are more of a visual learner, I share how to identify white oaks at the GrowingDeer episode:  https://www.growingdeer.tv/#/deer-hunting-see-more-deer

Tracy and I lived and hunted in South Carolina for years.  Finding white oaks were the key to many of our venison meals!

Enjoy creation,

Grant
