Dr. Grant, I have an opportunity to lease some land in reynolds county missouri. I know that you and your crew do a lot of hunting in the state. I live in south Louisiana and wanted to know if you were familiar with the area. This is a part of the country that i have always wanted to have a chance to hunt but I need to make it worth my while coming from that far away. Was just curious of the quality and quantity of deer in the area and if it known for big whitetails and good turkey hunting. Thanks for any info.

Frank,

I’ve never hunted in Reynolds county.  Reynolds county is primarily timbered.  There is very limited crop production in that county.  The topography is mountainous. If you enjoy hunting mountains it might be a good opportunity.

Reynolds county is a notorious for illegal dog hunting. I always suggest folks take the time visit with each neighboring landowner before purchasing or leasing property!

Enjoy creation,

grant
